S1E10 - The flow of spiritual development in The House of New Bethany

Scripture informs us of what we are to anticipate by following Joan of Arc and Thérèse on the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed to the shores of Provence to meet Mary Magdalene.

Welcome! The House of New Bethany is a devotion to the sacred history of France grounded in the spirituality of St. Joan of Arc, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and the tradition of St. Mary Magdalene in France. S1E10

In this episode, I reflect on the path of spiritual development we anticipate by following Joan of Arc and Thérèse on the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed to the shores of Provence to meet Mary Magdalene. Scripture informs us:

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature. For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. ~ 2 Peter 1:2-7.

I do not often explain my metaphors and imagery. However, while listening to the scripture reading above during Mass, an inspiration came upon me. The flow of spiritual development presented there is a perfect clarification of what we can expect when “walking the Trail of the Dogmatic Creed” through mystical France to the shores of Provence with Mary Magdalene.
